Dwain J. Pearson was born June 24, 1912, in Richfield, Utah. His first 4 years were spent living in a cabin in Cottonwood Canyon 4 miles south of Marysvale, Utah.
Dwain attended Utah State Agricultural College in Logan. He graduated in 1934 with the distinction of being the first student from Marysvale to graduate from college! After college he worked for the U.S. Dapartment of Agriculture for 9 years.
Olive and Dwain were married September 5, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple and shared 67 years together. He will always be remembered for the sweet and tender love affair he shared with Olive.
In 1943 Dwain and his family returned to Richfield, Utah where he engaged in a number of businesses including lumber, insurance, hotels, restaurants. Dwain was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as bishop, in the stake presidency, missionary work, and temple work.
Dwain like to say, "Family is everything."
He is remembered for his kindness, warm smile, and wisdom. Who can forget how he worked so hard in his garden and brought an abundance of fresh produce home for his family and guests?
