Dorothy Ogden Quinney

Dorothy was the fifth daughter and 8th child of Walter Marsh and Mary Ross Ogden. She was born in Richfield, Utah 24 January 1926. Dorothy's father blessed her 7 March 1926. She was baptized by her father 4 February 1934 and confirmed the same day by her uncle, John W. Ross. She graduated from Richfield High School in May 1944. Dorothy attended BYU for two years and agricultural college for one year. She married William G. Quinney 16 June 1947 in the Manti, Utah temple. They were sealed by Robert Anderson.

"Dorothy, you sweet little dainty baby sister, had the love and protection of all your older sisters. With Mary Jane as your chief advisor. If you felt sure you wanted to play paper dolls Janie took that idea out of your mind right away when she had decided to go upon the hill and hunt “diamonds" or follow along with Ted to the spring with Goldie loaded with shovel and all to dig for "gold". I still apologize for not having a portrait. It wasn't because I didn't love you as much, but I didn't take that much time off. We were ranchers."

Mary Olive Ross Ogden
